Tree Lighting Festival – 2015



Santa’s Helpers, from the Amherst Fire Department, work to get the Crocker Tree ready for the Tree Lighting Festival.

Traditionally held the weekend of the 2nd Sunday of December. 

2015 – December 11, 12, 13

  Amherst Tree Lighting Ceremony

Friday 6:00 PM , on the WWI Common.   Participants should arrive by 5:45 PM.

Traditionally, at dusk, single, white candle lights appear in the windows of each village home. 

Celebrate the Winter holidays observed by Amherst Residents with songs and readings. 

Santa himself makes an appearance to light up the tree for the crowd,

Then it’s inside to warm up with a spaghetti supper!

Saturday and Sunday 

Many Seasonal activities take place in Amherst.  Concerts, ballets, breakfasts, suppers, tours, open houses, 

wine tastings, bazaars, fairs, children’s events, opportunities to meet Santa and take a photo, 

are all hosted by some of the different clubs, organizations, churches and businesses of Amherst.
