Amherst Broadcasts, Discussions, and Dialogs

There are four Amherst mailing lists available for Amherst citizens, as well as two other ways to ask questions. If you have a question, you may be able to use one of these to get an answer.

  • Amherst Event Broadcast Listserve: The Town of Amherst provides a list serve to communicate with interested citizens. Using this list serve, the town will e-mail meeting minutes, updates and announcements. Those interested in subscribing should send an email to . Just type the word SUBSCRIBE in the subject line.   • Amherst Discussion List: If you wish to ask questions, talk back, or discuss Amherst issues and events, subscribe to the amhersttalks mailing list. No subject or message are required to scribe.   • Amherst Conservation Commission Friends List: Join other Amherst citizens to learn what is happening with the conservation commission and with Amherst conservation. Members can use the list to ask questions and or to join in a discussion, if desired. Check the conservation commission web page to join.

  • Amherst Communications Infrastructure Committee Interest List: Join the Amherst Communications Infrastructure Committee interest list to receive broacasts of agendas, minutes, and other information about the work of the committee. Check the CIC web page to join.

  • Amherst Ask the Town Hall page: If you have a question, or suggestion about town afffairs, the operation of town committees or departments, or this website, send a query to the town hall. Check the Ask The Town Hall web page for details.

  • Amherst Talking_Trash page: If you have a question, or suggestion about the operation of the Amherst Transfer Station, send a query to the Amherst Talking_Trash email address. Be sure to check the Transfer Station "Frequently Asked Questions" and website first, to be sure your question has not already been asked.   • School Announcements: School announcements are available on the web or by email. Check the web for Souhegan High School Daily Announcements, Amherst Middle School Announcements, or for the Wilkins and Clark Schools Principal's Newsletter. You can also signup when you register for school to receive this information
